Overview

DataCogit builds software products including Atlassian Marketplace apps and web-based tools. This Privacy Policy explains what data is accessed or processed when you use our products, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

DataCogit does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Atlassian Forge Apps

DataCogit's Atlassian apps are built on the Atlassian Forge platform. Forge apps run entirely within Atlassian's infrastructure. No data processed by these apps is transmitted to, stored on, or accessible by external servers operated by DataCogit.

Public Exposure Detector (PED)

PED is a Confluence global settings app that scans Confluence spaces for anonymous public read access. The following data is accessed and stored within Atlassian's infrastructure using the Forge KV Store:

  • Confluence space names and space keys
  • Space permission settings (anonymous access status only)
  • App configuration set by the Confluence administrator (scan scope, notification settings)
  • Allowlist entries including optional reason text entered by the administrator
  • Scan history (last 10 scan results, stored in Forge KV Store)

This data is used solely to provide the app's functionality. It is never transmitted outside of Atlassian infrastructure and is not accessible by DataCogit. Scoped permissions used by PED are limited to reading space summaries and details, and writing to Confluence pages and comments for status reporting.
